Go to the movies.
If you want to be up-to-date on the latest movies, go to the theater. You can always catch a film about something you’re interested in or with a plot that pertains to your interests. Movies with stories about topics outside popular culture (like science fiction) are also well worth seeing if this is something new for you.
Watch a TV show on Netflix.
If you’re looking for something to watch, Netflix has a wide variety of shows and movies in all genres. You can find everything from classic comedies like Friends or Seinfeld to modern dramas like The Office or Breaking Bad. They have even released some original content, such as House of Cards and Orange Is the New Black (later turned into an Emmy-winning series).
Netflix also offers a lot of high-quality rentals at reasonable prices—if you’ve been meaning to catch up on your favorite show, but it’s not available on DVD yet, try Vudu instead!
Read a book.
Reading is a great way to learn and pass the time. It can be an excellent way to get ideas for your next project or even a good read in general. If you’re looking for some new books, here are some suggestions:

Read an article.
Reading an article is a great way to stay up-to-date on pop culture. You can read about things that interest you or don’t interest you at all, but it’s always good to know what other people are talking about so when they start talking about it, you’ll understand them better too.
You could also try reading an article about something completely different from your interests—maybe even something new! If there is no specific topic in mind (and let’s be honest: how often do we know where our interests lie?), pick something random off the internet and see what happens when you open yourself up like this.
Read an interesting blog.
If you want to keep up with the latest trends, read an interesting blog. Blogs are a great way of staying up-to-date on what’s happening in your field or area of interest. You can also find blogs about topics that interest the person you are talking with, so they will want to hear it!
Read blogs at different times of day depending on where they are posted: the morning is best because people tend not to engage much before 10 am when they wake up; evenings after midnight when everyone is working late or playing video games (which I should note does not count as engaging); and weekends during daylight hours because most people have time off work then anyway!
Listen to a podcast.
The easiest way to stay up-to-date with the latest and greatest pop culture is by listening to a podcast. Podcasts are audio recordings of interviews, discussions, or other programs typically released as downloads or streaming online. You can find them on iTunes, Spotify, and more!
Here’s what you need:
Listen to music/play an instrument, or sing/dance/play in your band.
Music is a great way to stay up-to-date with the latest trends in popular culture. If you like music, try playing an instrument or singing. You can also join a band and help promote your favorite band’s latest album by going on tour or playing at parties and shows. When you’re involved with something that interests you, it’s easy to keep up with trends because there will always be something new happening somewhere—and if nothing else, being involved means meeting new people who share your interests!
Meet new people and get involved in groups you’re interested in.
Getting out there and keeping up with pop culture makes life more colorful.
Pop culture is a great way to stay up to date with the latest trends, meet new people and learn about new things. It’s also a great way to make friends that share your interests.
